CHERRY HILL — Bishop Joseph A. Galante joined in solidarity with other pro-lifers on the morning of Thursday, Feb. 26, outside a Cherry Hill abortion clinic, in a prayer vigil to kick off the 40 Days for Life.

Outside the Cherry Hill Women’s Center Bishop Galante thanked the 30 people, who had rosaries in their hands and carried statues of Mary, for their commitment to stop “the destruction of human life and the sadness of the women,” and said that “the only way abortion is overcome” is by conversion, “conversion of heart, conversion of mind, conversion of life.”

Jennifer Racancoj, 40 Days for Life coordinator for South Jersey, was grateful for the Bishop Galante’s visit, and asked everyone to pray a rosary or Divine Mercy chaplet for the bishop, in thanksgiving for his visit.

From Feb. 25- April 5, pro-lifers across the nation will join together in 40 days of prayer and fasting, peaceful vigil, and community outreach to stop abortion.  The 40 Days for Life in South Jersey is looking for individuals to join in prayer vigils at the Cherry Hill Women’s Center, Kings Highway, Cherry Hill, from 6:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m., seven days a week.  Two or more people are encouraged to sign up for one hour each week, for the 40 days.
